Iroquois County Fairgoers, be sure to visit the Hidden in Plain Sight display for an educational, helpful and eye-opening experience! We all know that the teen years can be difficult. Signs of teen drug use and other risk factors can be hidden in plain sight, but easy to miss. Hidden in Plain Sight is designed to educate parents, grandparents, and adult community members on current drug trends, how to recognize common warning signs, and how to talk with youth about these important issues.
Fourteen different indicators or signs of teen drug, tobacco, and alcohol use will be dispersed throughout the room each day. Adults can peruse the room and see how many of these items they can find in 5 minutes or less. The display changes daily, so be sure to return each day. Anyone visiting the display will be entered in a drawing for a daily giveaway. Let’s continue to work together to TIP the Scale and stop underage substance use!
