Over 70 students at Watseka Community High School successfully completed the Vape Escape Room activity. Assisted by National Honor Society members, 7 groups of freshmen worked together to decipher clues and quickly solve puzzles in order to “escape” while learning about the negative health, social, and financial consequences of vaping. Way to go, Watseka students and staff! This Vape Escape Room experience is an initiative of the Juvenile Justice Council of Iroquois County and the Iroquois County State’s Attorney Office.
Did you know that most 8th, 10th, and 12th grade students in Iroquois County will take the IYS this spring? Results of the IYS can serve as a valuable tool for our schools and communities to determine needs and secure funding to meet these needs.
