The Juvenile Justice Council and Ms. Laws’ 5th grade class at Glenn Raymond (Iroquois County CUSD 9 – Watseka School District) enjoyed a fun afternoon yesterday discussing healthy choices and encouraging one another to Plant the Promise and GROW THE GOOD. This classroom visit is made possible through the Watseka Area Chamber of Commerce’s Business Education Partnership and You Program.
Tune in to 94.1 WGFA on Friday, May 10th at 8:15 a.m. to hear Jenni McTaggart (Drug Free Communities Grant Project Coordinator for Iroquois County and JJC Member) during a live Hotline Interview. Jenni will be discussing the importance of teen mental health and how many of the Juvenile Justice Council’s initiatives (including the JJC’s Teen Mental Health PSA Contest) have focused on this subject.
