Results are in for Harold’s Thanksgiving Coloring Contest for Kindergarten-6th Grade! This contest was sponsored by the Juvenile Justice Council of Iroquois County, I-KAN, and the Pledge for Life Partnership. Professional staff from different departments throughout the Iroquois County Courthouse had the difficult task of choosing the winners for each grade level and teacher category from the 433 beautifully colored entries that were received. Thanks to all who entered! Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
Kindergarten: Cason Clark – Wanda Kendall Elementary School 1st Grade: Shaelyn Wahls – Iroquois West Gilman Elementary School 2nd Grade: Isabelle Steiner – St. Paul’s Lutheran School 3rd Grade: Jude Meyer – St. Paul’s Lutheran School 4th Grade: Harper Leydens – Iroquois West Upper Elementary School 5th Grade: Avery Varboncouer – Donovan Elementary School 6th Grade: Emily Miller – Iroquois West Middle School Teacher: Mrs. Amanda Daniels – Iroquois West Gilman Elementary School ANNOUNCEMENT: The Juvenile Justice Council of Iroquois County has partnered with I-KAN and the Pledge for Life Partnership to sponsor a K-6th grade coloring contest featuring the Life Education Center’s mascot Harold the Giraffe. Coloring contest entry forms were distributed to all Iroquois County schools who participate in Life Education Center programming. Students and teachers are encouraged to color Harold as he recounts things for which he is thankful, including Wise Highs, healthy lifestyle choices you can live with. Students/Teachers can also share some items for which they are grateful. Every K-6th grade student/teacher who enters at these schools will win a prize. A larger prize will be awarded to the winner of each grade level and the teacher category. Entries are due in each school’s office on Thursday, November 18th. Good luck to all who enter!
