The Juvenile Justice Council is partnering with area junior and senior high schools to recognize one Iroquois County student each Wednesday for their exceptional attitude, character and citizenship.
Local businesses and agencies have stepped up to generously sponsor and donate prizes to show these students they are behind them and appreciate the positive difference they are making in the community.
Too often teens believe falsehoods about what will make them “cool” or have misconceptions about how many of their peers are using substances. Studies have shown highlighting youth for making good choices is an effective underage substance use prevention method.
